Mission: To empower individuals and communities by addressing the root causes of poverty, homelessness, substance abuse, and other barriers to personal development. We are dedicated to fostering lasting change through education, advocacy, and support, ensuring that every person in our community has the opportunity to thrive.

Vision: A community where every individual, regardless of their circumstances, has the tools, resources, and support needed to break the cycle of poverty, homelessness, and substance abuse. We envision a society where personal development is a right, not a privilege, and where the cycle of despair is replaced by one of hope, growth, and prosperity for all.

ABOUT US

On August 10, 2016, Douglas E. Smith, II (deceased), and Dr. Portia G. Smith created Angels Inspired, Inc.

Angels Inspired, Inc. was created to help those experiencing a tough situation in life in the form of homelessness and poverty. The organization also found that there was a need to assist homeless veterans who were homeless due to substance abuse.

Since its incorporation, Angels Inspired, Inc. has engaged in many projects, re-vamped its structure, and assisted its community.

Today, Angels Inspired, Inc. has developed a system to tackle the root causes. They have obtained a passionate team that is willing to expand the services into all counties in West Virginia, some counties in Ohio, Kentucky, Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania.

Angels Inspired, Inc. is currently seeking stakeholders in the form of volunteers and donors who would like to be a part of the mission.

OUR TEAM & OUR PURPOSE

Our team consists of our Board of Directors, an Advisory Board, the CEO/President, the Vice President, Executive Directors for each region, the staff of the Executive Directors accordingly, Angels Ambassadors, and our volunteers. We are constantly seeking individuals who share similar passions as we do and are willing to assist in carrying out the mission.

Our Purpose:

Our purpose is to create a more equitable and inclusive community by addressing the underlying causes of poverty, homelessness, substance abuse, and other challenges that hinder personal development.

We strive to:

1. Provide Support – Offer a safe and supportive environment where individuals can access the resources they need to overcome obstacles and regain control of their lives.

2. Educate and Raise Awareness – Raise awareness about the root causes of poverty and homelessness and educate the community about the complex issues surrounding personal development.

3. Advocate for Change – Advocate for policies and practices that promote social justice, affordable housing, accessible healthcare, and addiction treatment to create a fair and inclusive society.

4. Promote Empowerment – Empower individuals to become agents of change in their own lives, equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary to break free from cycles of adversity.

5. Collaborate and Mobilize – Collaborate with other organizations, government agencies, and community members to create a united front against the challenges that affect personal development, leveraging collective strength for maximum impact.

6. Measure and Adapt – Continuously assess our programs and initiatives, using data and feedback to adapt and improve our strategies for long-term sustainable change.

By pursuing our mission and vision with unwavering commitment, we aim to create a community where every person, regardless of their background or circumstances, has the opportunity to reach their full potential and lead a life of dignity, purpose, and fulfillment.
